Direct Learning
Direct Learning is dedicated to providing affordable independent dyslexia assessment and advice. This service is available for parents with concerns about their children's problems with spelling, reading and learning at school, as well as for adults. Our service provides you with an accurate, professional Assessment Report based on all the indicators of dyslexia. The Report gives an overall assessment, which outlines and summarizes the results of the different tests, as well as providing strategies for improving future achievement. Specific suggestions and clear advice are given on an individual basis on how to improve progress and achievement in the future.

"I found your report extremely clear and helpful. Thank you again for all your trouble." K.W. (St Petersburg, Florida) "I was impressed with your assessment as well as your recommendations. It confirmed my suspicions about my daughter, age 11 years old. I got her tested further by Hoover Dyslexia Center in Birmingham, Alabama, which also showed she had dyslexia." A.W. (Birmingham, Alabama) "Charlotte really enjoyed doing the tests." L.P. (Denver, Colorado) "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I received the results yesterday and I am so happy to finally have something in black and white to give to the school where my son goes. They are willing to make the necessary accomodations for him. I can't thank you all enough!!! I am forever grateful to you all. My son feels so much better, too, knowing that there's nothing wrong with him except that his brain processes information different than others. It has nothing to do with his intelligence. Again, thank you!! (K.K., Arizona) "The results of the test far exceeded the cost. I learned things about myself that I never realized. I will be reviewing your assessment and suggestions this weekend and lay out a plan of attack." V.N. (Illinois) (Adult test) "When my youngest son was assessed for dyslexia we had to spend two and a half days in a strange environment, then return for a third time to find out the results. I strongly feel that being able to complete the assessment at home with a parent is a much better alternative. I think the results will more accurately reflect the true behavior of the child in his natural environment and it provides for greater objectivity for the expert in assessing the results." D.E., (Mass.) "Thank you. We as a school ordered the test. Great test! We will be using it again." G.H. (Boston, Mass.) "I just wanted to let you know that I received the results of Jordan's test in the mail yesterday. I cannot thank you enough for returning the results so quickly. I was very impressed with how thorough the report was. The conclusions confirmed my suspicion after all these years that Jordan does have dyslexia and I am grateful to you for providing me with a way in which to have him tested. We will also pursue your recommendation to have Jordan see a ... specialist. I will be asking for more help for Jordan in the classroom based on your recommendations. Thank you again, so much, for your help. " L.W.. (South Carolina) "I wanted to thank you for your prompt, yet thorough, assessment of my daughter Jenny. You were literally an answer to a prayer, and have helped me to put together several disjointed pieces of information regarding Jenny's life and learning experiences. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavor and pray that you may continue to enrich people's lives!" N.N. (Illinois) "Thank you for your very detailed report which was returned so promptly. We have already passed a copy on to Tom's very supportive school and they have promised to help in any way they can. Thanks to your help and advice perhaps we can now make a real difference to his life". B.W. (Belfast, N. Ireland) "I have found the test layout to be extremely user-friendly, and easy to follow. The guidelines and suggestions given helped. It seemed less of a test and more of a game, resulting in more relaxed 'work', and better performance by my daughter, who 'despises' any form of 'sit down and work' atmosphere, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it myself." R.H. (Richmond, Virginia) "You
will never know how much your diagnosis means to us. We finally have the accurate
label for her problem. Kelly can now start receiving the correct type of education
that she needs. Thank you for giving her a second chance!" N.D. (Texas) "As far as the test is concerned, I found it very easy to follow and give. . ." S.P. (New York State) ". . . you helped me out with my Dyslexia test not too long ago. I really don't think I had the opportunity to thank you and to let you know how much I appreciate what you did. I'm doing well in school and I'm almost ready to graduate. If it wasn't for you I can honestly say that I don't think I would have made it this far. You did an awesome job with the test and you reached a whole age group that wasn't being met before. I didn't have the 2000 dollars other testing centers were asking for and if I didn't get help then I would have had to drop out of college, and I'm the first in my family to go." T.T. (Denver, Col.) (Adult test) "I received your evaluation today. Thank you so much for all your help. I am so impressed with the completeness and efficiency of the test. What a wonderful idea it is to have this test so accessible to everyone. I don't know what I would have done if your idea did not exist on the Web. You certainly provided a wonderful service for us. Keep up the innovative ideas. I will be forever grateful." F.E. (Kanab, Utah) " I received the test results yesterday. Thank you for a job well done . I think that your recommendations will be helpful in planning my son's upcoming school year." L.J-P. (Birmingham, UK) "I just wanted to thank you
for putting so much time and effort into my evaluation. You have done me a great
service and I can't even begin to express my gratitude." B.C. (Philadelphia) (Adult
test)
"I received your evaluation of Stephanie some
time ago, but would like to thank you for your excellent attentive service. Kirsty
was very pleased with your report and delighted with your praise of her story.
Thank you." J.M. (San Francisco) "Thank you for your
help with my daughter Julie. The University of -------- was very impressed
with the completeness of the Report and with the test itself. She is now able
to move forward and get her degree." F.V-H. (Boston, Mass.) "Thank you for your fast and efficient service." K.L. (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) " I appreciate your assistance and quick response!" M.H. (New York) (Adult test) "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your fast response and to tell you this means a lot to worried parents!" A.L. (Liverpool, UK) "Thank you for your Assessment Report for Lucy. It will sure help us with her future schooling needs as well as her social needs." C.C. (Anchorage, Alaska) "I just wanted to let you know that, as you recommended in your report, I was tested for Irlen Syndrome. The results of the screening show that I have a severe case of Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome. I have some temporary filters now and the written page looks completely different. It doesn't move around -- its flat and clear and quite amazing. Thank you for providing me with that insight. I had never heard of this syndrome before. I also wanted to let you know that optometrists do not test for this in the US -- there are separate testing centers." (H.L., Illinois) (Adult test) Original copies of all the above e-mails and letters are kept in our offices.
